Okami, UFC Brasil | UFC 134: Anderson Silva vs. Yushin Okami Gambling Spotlight

  • Yushin Okami inside distance +1235 / Yushin Okami by submission +2150 (5Dimes) - This isn't about seeking out an edge or finding value. This is goddamn insurance. This is the dealer showing an ace and asking you if you want two-to-one. Anderson's never been stopped with strikes in MMA, but we've seen weakness on the floor. Okami's not as prolific with takedowns as Chael Sonnen, but he's better and shows more urgency in passing the guard. If Okami wins, it's more likely, in my eyes, that he moves into dominant position and finishes the fight rather than winning three of five rounds in a decision.

  • Brendan Schaub vs. Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira UNDER 2.5 rounds at -165 (5Dimes) - Remember, heavyweight fights are finished 75% of the time. Nog's chin is entering Wanderlei/Chuck old man stage, he looks way out of shape, and Brendan Schaub hits hard. And, should Nogueira pull off a miracle win, it's gonna be ripping a limb off on the floor.
  • Brendan Schaub inside distance -105 (5Dimes) - There are few things more surreal than rooting against your own bets. I want to see "Minotauro" Nogueira submit Brendan Schaub. I want to hear the reaction from the Brazilian crowd. I want to live through that nostalgia. I don't want to see Schaub canvas Nogueira, but I'll gladly take more for it.
  • World (vs. Brazil) +4.5 +105 (Bookmaker) - Big props to Bookmaker for this fun series of props. They've got a slew of bets on the seven "Brazil vs. the World" fights on Spike TV and pay-per-view. You can also get Brazil at -500/World +250. If we consider Schaub a lock here (and nothing's ever a lock), we need just one win in the other six bouts to pay off. I'm looking at you, Spencer Fisher and Forrest Griffin.
