Robert Duffy born August 21, 1954 is a Democratic politician who served as mayor of Rochester, New York and is the 76th and current Lieutenant Governor of New York. Prior to his political career, Duffy was a police officer in Rochester, rising to the positions of deputy chief 1992–98 and chief 1998-2005.
In May 2010, New York Attorney General Andrew Cuomo selected Duffy as his running mate in the race for Governor. The ticket of Cuomo and Duffy was elected in November 2010 for a four-year term beginning January 1, 2011.
