The death of Sathya Sai Baba, one of India's most revered spiritual leaders, Sunday after prolonged illness, was a leading topic on micro-blogging site like Twitter, with his devotees throughout the world mourning his demise.
While many of his followers just posted links of media reports of his death, others used the site to express their condolences.
"Sathya Sai Baba had milions of followers all over the world. Their faith in him held them together. May God give them strength. RIP Baba," tweeted Bollywood actor Anupam Kher.
