Chicago is the largest city in the U.S. states of Illinois, was founded on August 12, 1833. Famous for farming and industrial areas are scattered, a strategic port on the Great Lakes, its position as the most important railway network in the northern U.S., and an unflagging enthusiasm during the Great Fire of 1871. Building steel-reinforced skyscraper came from Chicago. Chicago Home Insurance Building was completed (1885) and 9 years later, 21 buildings are built with high ± 12-16 floors. Grown into a leading city of the 19th century because the location and position of importance as a center of transportation, appointed Chicago World Columbian Expo organized 1893, beating even the NYC and Washington DC.
